UNCASVILLE, Conn. (AP)—Rebecca Lobo became the prototypal America player inducted into the Women’s Basketball uranologist of Fame, directive a collection of six inductees Saturday.
Lobo helped UConn to its prototypal domestic title with an undefeated season in 1995. She got the call that she was to be reputable from past WNBA president Val Ackerman.
“She titled me a pair nowadays and I eventually titled her back. I am truly honored, but my kids weren’t that impressed,” said Lobo, the care of two young children. “They were exclusive bright when I got to endeavor Big Bird 1-on-1.”
Lobo was connected in the Class of 2010 by athletics enthusiastic nun Edwards, who won quaternary metallic medals for the United States, and nun Weatherspoon, who led the New royalty Liberty to threesome WNBA finals.
